Company membership is a significant way to contribute to the gospel ministry of CMS

CMS NSW & ACT Limited is a company limited by guarantee and registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission. The Branch has a Board of Directors, who are legally responsible for the running of the Company (Meet the board of directors for CMS NSW & ACT). The Branch also has a broader governance body called General Committee. Members of the Company elect both the Directors and General Committee members, and therefore play an important role in the governance of CMS NSW & ACT. Company members not only have the right to vote, but also to stand for election as members of the committees and the Board that oversee the running of our branch.

If you want a say in what CMS does in the future, then company membership is for you.

To become a Company member, you will need to complete an application form and pay a small membership fee. That fee will help cover the costs of maintaining the register of company members. Membership is valid for either one year or three years.

In the unlikely event that the Company is wound up, members are liable to contribute an amount not exceeding $20 to cover any net liabilities of the Company.

To become a member of CMS NSW & ACT, you must agree to the CMS NSW & ACT Principles and Objects, and Statement of Faith.

Statement of Faith

The Apostles' Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.

He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended into hell.

On the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
